Aftercare

After your treatment, please be aware that your reaction speeds might be slower, especially after aromatherapy, so drive with caution.

Ensure you drink an extra glass of water, juice or caffeine-free drink.

You may feel a little worse the day after a treatment. This is your body removing toxins released during the treatment. This should not last more than 24 hours.

If you have had a deeper massage on tight muscles, be aware that the muscles worked on may feel sore for the next couple of days. This is the body repairing the muscle where the tension has been broken down.

If you are unsure or concerned about any after effects of your treatment, contact your GP.

Homecare

You can prevent a lot of back ache and muscle tension problems yourself at home with these handy tips:
Always ensure you are sitting correctly.
Make sure you are well hydrated
Bend with your knees, especially when picking something up
Alternate the shoulder you carry your bag on, or the hand you tend to use to carry bags.
Every now and again, conscious relax your shoulders
Stretch out tight muscles. This is especially effective after a bath or shower as the muscles are warm and tend to be more relaxed.
